Starting in 2018, Jonathan 'Sugarfoot' Moffett, Michael's longtime drummer, began releasing band rehearsals of the songs rehearsed for This Is It on his YouTube channel.

Best of Joy, a song from the 2010 posthumous album, Michael, would have been performed on the last night.The song was rediscovered following Michael's death, retitled 'This Is It' to coincide with the film, and The Jacksons added background vocals as a tribute to their late brother. In reality, the song was recorded as a demo track in 1984 with Paul Anka and known as 'I Never Heard'. This Is It was a song played in the end credits, but it wasn't actually meant to be performed in the concerts.Heal The World was played, though during the end credits. The This Is It documentary only showed rehearsals from Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Jam, They Don't Care About Us, Human Nature, Smooth Criminal, The Way You Make Me Feel, the Jackson 5 Medley, Shake Your Body, I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Beat It, Thriller, Earth Song, Billie Jean and Man in the Mirror, most likely due to time contraits.However, all these rumors have never been confirmed as true. Bad was also rumored to be performed on selected dates and that You Rock My World would replace The Way You Make Me Feel.A special feature on the This Is It film's Blu-Ray release ('Meet the Vocalists') implies that Who Is It was rehearsed as an interlude segment.Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough and Smooth Criminal were the first songs Michael chose for the setlist.Thriller (with excerpts from Ghosts - Underscore and Threatened).Dangerous (with excerpts of Morphine, 2000 Watts, This Place Hotel, Stranger in Moscow, Psycho theme, Smooth Criminal, You Want This, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly theme, and Let's Dance).Off the Wall Medley: Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough / Rock with You.Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground) Band Interlude.They Don't Care About Us (with exceprts of HIStory, She Drives Me Wild, and Why You Wanna Trip on Me).The Drill (with excerpts of Bad, Dangerous, and Mind is the Magic).Jam (with excerpts of Another Part of Me).Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (with acapella snippet of Speechless).The final setlist would have most likely cut a few songs for time constraints and to not put too much pressure on Michael.
